TBC Has a new Logo which is being used in conjunction with the new communication tools at the Church.

We have been asked the question: What does the New Logo Mean?
The short answer is: Nothing.
The longer / more satisfying answer is: after several months of drafts and comps on the logo, we came to the unanimous decision that the above logo, which was inspired by Past, and Present elements of and from the TBC was the best way to present a pictographically representative of the church’s communications.

One thing to keep in mind when "judging" a logo is that a logo is "A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition" (source)

A lot of people say that a logo should pictographically represent what an organization is about, or represent the idea behind the organization. For example, some people would say that if you want to show that you’re a loving organization, there should be a heart. If you want to be seen as a welcoming place, use open arms, or people shaking hands. i would challenge you to name a large, successful company whose logo represents what they do. (additional info) for example, shouldn’t the Apple logo, have a computer on it? Shouldn’t the Nike logo have some sort of ball to represent sports? Shouldn’t the fedex logo have a package or better yet, one hand handing a package to another hand to signify the delivery of the package? and while we’re at it, why not add "motion lines" to the hands to show that it’s being delivered quickly?

The answer is that 94% of the time when ideas a forced the end result is a clumsy ineffective representation, which in turn portrays your organization as unprofessional, and average.

Ok, so why did we end up with THIS Logo?
When desigining and updating the logo for Tulsa Bible Church, we took several things into consideration:

What we have used in the past.

What kind of Church TBC is.
Conservative & Traditional, Which for us meant that the logo and style shouldn’t change too drastically, so in order to keep with what TBC Had come to be known by, as well as update the look for a more modern look, we decided to keep the Arch element as the overall shape, and integrate some stylized crosses as well as incorporate the "Stained Glass Window" look which is a large part of the architecture of the church building itself.

The Final Logo for Tulsa Bible Church was the result of hours of planning by professionals, and refining based on feedback from TBC Pastors.
a final result that we are pleased with and feel will put the best foot forward as we continue with communication to the body, and to the community.
